Here’s what sets smart microgrids apart as a climate solution and a tool for community resilience: Local power is more efficient and accessible. They also feature Phoenix Contact’s Push-Lock and T-LOX connection technologies for fast installation and maintenance. A smart microgrid is an assembly of storage batteries, distribution lines, and power sources like wind, hydro, geothermal, and solara simple concept with major implications for the future of clean energy. The modules’ CAN bus interface makes them easy to integrate into e-mobility applications. Cat® Microgrids provide cost effective power for on- and off-grid communities and commercial or industrial installations. This assists in the most efficient output for the device, with ranging levels of solar radiation, temperature, and PV panel types. The DC/DC module has continuous maximum power point tracking (MPPT), which maximizes the output when connected to a solar array. For sites without hydrogen, Scale is building predominantly solar, storage, and natural gas. Various factors need to be considered, including the source of the hydrogen, for the microgrid to be considered 100 clean. Both power modules have an output range from 150 to 1,000 V DC. Microgrids built from solar PV, battery energy storage, and hydrogen generation can reduce your facility’s emissions by 100. The DC/DC module has an input range of 300 to 825 V DC for use in numerous DC voltage settings. The three-phase input module has a range of 350 to 530 V AC, allowing installation in most locations globally. In addition to e-mobility applications, the CHARX AC/DC and DC/DC power modules are suitable for off-highway charging, AC microgrids, high-voltage DC grids, energy storage and hydrogen electrolysis. cabinet commonly used in EV charging stations. The modules can be directly mounted in a standard 19-in. Theyve installed more than a hundred in developing. We have built a strong reputation for delivering results, with a high level of professionalism and expertise. Many people are not familiar with HS but are familiar with Glycoproteins, so we use that name as an umbrella term. I wrote Senté asking for clarification and they were kind enough to get right back to me, " Heparan Sulfate (HS), the active ingredient in Senté Dermal Repair Cream, is a Glycoprotein. Glycoproteins is not actually spelled out on the box. However, to be fair the website only lists key ingredients, the top being glycoproteins. When my package of Senté Dermal Repair Cream arrived the first thing I noticed was that the ingredients on the box did not match those on the website and that really turned me off. I have been using Senté Dermal Repair Cream for over a month, and though I think it is an okay moisturizer I have not experienced any ground breaking results nor any of the claims listed on their website such as "profound hydration." I understand the need to talk up your product, but come on. Senté claims this ingredient to be a "breakthrough" further saying their glycoproteins "are 'biologically active,' attaching to the surface of cells and allowing growth factors and other molecules to regenerate the skin." I have come upon many claims of its legitimacy when they come to skin care: cellular repair, increased energy level of skin cells by enhancing the production of energy-rich adenosine and increased hydration and elasticity. Glycoproteins are proteins that contain a carbohydrate attached to a protein. I had never heard of glycoproteins in skin care so I was very interested. I was happy to see the short list of ingredients on their website when I was first asked to test the Dermal Repair Cream. Their flagship product is their Dermal Repair Cream and their signature ingredient is Glycoproteins. Sadly I have had neither of those feelings with the Senté Dermal Repair Cream ($169.95) I am testing. Second I start trying to convince myself that it's worth it to actually purchase, no matter the price. First, I start to worry about running out and I will start rationing it. Kagha’s skincare journey and the products she can't put down.It is easy for me to know when I really like a new product while testing it. “And I now focus on acne prevention, even skin tone, and prejuvenation, which can prevent signs of aging down the road.” “Now that I have had years of an effective treatment regimen, which includes a mix of prescription medications, over-the-counter topicals, and occasional in-office procedures, acne breakouts for me are rare,” she says. Kagha believes it was that transitionary period that enabled her to fall in love with her melanin-rich skin and the confidence to show up fully herself wherever she went. “It wasn’t until I became interested in pursuing dermatology as a career that I was able to get a dermatologist of my own and start my journey toward an effective and consistent regimen for clearer, radiant skin.” Dr. “I dabbled in harsh over-the-counter products for too long without truly understanding how ingredients worked best together for my sensitive, acne-prone skin,” she recalls. As enthusiastic as she always was about beauty, the dermatologist struggled to find the right skincare to treat her three skin woes: Oily, acne-prone skin, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Chinoso Kagha how to create the best product regimen for her specific skin needs. This early point in her career also taught Dr. “I could create space for everyone who had been left out of the beauty discussion by simply showing up as my full self,” the dermatologist says. There, she perfected her craft and discovered how valuable her presence was in the world of skincare. Kagha embarked on a cosmetic and laser fellowship at Harvard/Massachussetts General Hospital after finishing her residency. With a strong desire to pursue aesthetic medicine, Dr. And it was this early realization that made her career path in dermatology so clear. It was not only the first thing people would see, but also had the power to affect how we interact with the world and could play a role in our success, Dr. While others dismissed it as superficial, she knew skin health was of the utmost importance. This was comparing /new/ to Stormfront, which is the oldest and largest Holocaust-denialist white supremacist site. According to 4chan's creator and ex-administrator Christopher Poole, this was because it had "devolved into / stormfront/". It was deleted a year later on 17 January 2011. Īnother news board, /new/, was later added on 25 January 2010. n/'s topic was changed to transportation on 19 February 2008, without moving the news topic to another board, effectively removing it. It replaced /n/'s previous topic of animals and nature, which was moved to the /an/ board. The first of these was /n/, which was added on 8 April 2006. Prior to the creation of /pol/, there were two boards intended for discussing news that had been added and removed from the site. However, 4chan's /pol/ board has become increasingly "synonymous with 4chan as a whole", according to New Media & Society. These include Kohlchan, 8chan (later 8kun), 16chan, Shitchan, and Endchan, with some less popular "/pol/" themed boards accessible through the Tor network on sites such as 9chan and Neinchan. While 4chan's /pol/ board is the most popular board under the "/pol/" name, versions on other websites have existed. According to Mic, "On a place like /pol/, there's no clear delineation between sincerity, irony and cynicism." First Monday commented that "The creation of character-based archetypes is common on /pol/ and makes this online space semi-performative and semi-authentic." Many have questioned the sincerity of users on /pol/ as possible trolls. Much of the content on /pol/ relies heavily on Internet memes to further spread ideas. Threads have a limited lifespan, effectively prioritizing newer content. However, these unique IDs will only tend to remain attached to a user per a single thread, as they are not persistent between multiple threads. Įach post also has a unique ID attached, which is likewise associated with the user's IP address. However, these are not common per amount of posts-the "Nazi" meme flag was the most commonly used meme flag in a 2020 analysis, while posts with an American geographic location were about 57 times more common (and appeared the most of any flag). Alternatively, users may select a "meme flag" (also referred to as a "troll flag"), corresponding to various political identifiers. A national flag corresponding to the user's geographic location (based on their IP address, which could be manipulated using a proxy server) may be displayed. Outside of traditional news sources, users also commonly rely on alternative media such as YouTube commentary as a source of news. A 2020 report categorized about 36% of news sources frequently posted to the board by American users as " junk news", a category that includes sources considered to be propaganda, sensationalist, or conspiracy theory content. If I had to choose one that I had to leave out, it'd probably be Mow Man though. The android Mow Man didn't disappoint either, his cocky British accent added to the perception of his own superiority over organic lifeforms as he was gunning them down in the field! It's hard to choose a favorite hero because they are all unique and good at what they do. He had some funny lines and he delivered them top notch as she did. I liked John Sawyer's big dick shit talking as much as Anna Conda's. Her screams were intense as well when she fell. I enjoyed Anna Conda's clever name, and the tough-talking no shit taking tough girl approach to her character. They have so much charisma when they are talking shit and their lines are delivered properly and in an amusing way but, at the same time you can respect their grittiness when they are doing it. I thought that each of the three main heroes did a good job with their voice acting. The sound is very good as well, the sound of the weapons firing, equipment/walls exploding and the overall banter of each enemy in the levels. Very good music that in my mind motivates one to move (which is a good thing). all look great!ī) The music/sound - The music not only fits the game's theme and look, it sounds good even without the game being looked at it. The art of the levels, backgrounds, front grounds etc. In the form of icons, guns, portraits (like the bosses in here before you choose their level), and other such things. I've always liked simplistic art in video games. I enjoy this game for a multitude of reasons:Ī) The simplicity of the art. My age being the age in which my age bracket played games such as these as youngsters. He showed me the game and we played co-op for a few levels and I was instantly attracted. Check out our other Halloween drawing guides and learn how to draw a skull or draw a spider.I bought this game around a year ago because an associate did the same. We hope you had a haunting time following along with our drawing exercise and drawing with us. Just think how fun it would be to add your Halloween illustrations as sublimations and spooky stickers. What a spooktacular drawing you made! Apply these steps to create a haunting of different ghost shapes and colors. We added pink to the tongue and below the eyes for blush, leaving the circle in the eyes white. We used these watercolor Procreate brushes for our ghost clipart to add a purple texture to the body. Then continue defining the inner sketch lines of the eyes, mouth, and details you added to your sketch.Īdd color, texture, or shading to your ghost using a coloring medium in this final step. Start your outline by tracing the outer sketch lines of your ghost shape. This will darken your illustration and help you see the shape more clearly. You will need a lining medium such as a pen, marker, or outline brush to define your ghost line drawing. When you are happy with your rough sketches, it's time to switch mediums and make your lines permanent. You can add anything you want here, like drawing a bow to make it cute or including horns and a pitchfork. For our example, we added dots in the eyes, a tongue in the mouth, and a few wavy lines on the lower half of the body. Save some time by using ready-made ghost face clipart that you can easily add to your illustration.Īdd the final details to your ghost. The face should include the eyes and mouth. Then on each side, draw short arched lines to make arms.ĭraw your ghost's face on the top half of the main body shape. Sketch a wavy line at the bottom of your main arch shape to close the bottom of your ghost. This can be an arched shape like our example below, or add a tail and make it wavy. Sketch the Main Shapeīegin sketching out the main shape of your ghost. If you do not have a pencil or erasable medium on hand, use a light-colored medium and cover it up with outlines and color. Using a pencil for this step is best, as you can easily erase or make the necessary changes. In our first step, we will create a rough ghost sketch. I’ll do my best to repeat a lot of the same pieces though. it’s just to give you an idea ok? so bare with me. So, if you see 5 different shorts, it doesn’t mean I have 5 shorts right now. Home » How to create a Summer Capsule Wardrobe – 25 basic pieces & over 80 Summer looks This change has proponents and detractors, but it makes sense that to be the best custodian of healthcare dollars, we must focus on providing the best care for our patients at the lowest cost. The result was the passage of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) that moved the focus from fee-for-service to value-based payments. Year after year, as spending increased, the House of Medicine would descend on Capitol Hill and lobby for a real fix for the problem. Each year, the government relied on the Sustainable Growth Rate to hold down costs. While the debate as to why we spend so much and have worse outcomes is going on, the government has been trying to change not only the way we practice (focusing more on evidence-based guidelines) but also restructuring the payment system that was spiraling out of control. 2 That model of increased spending with worse outcomes is not sustainable. 1 As a comparison, the United States spends 17.1% of the gross national product on healthcare, and the United Kingdom spends 8.8% with worse outcomes. In the United States, our healthcare costs are indeed the highest in the world, but the overall health of our population lags far behind other countries that spend much less.Īn analysis comparing healthcare spending, supply, utilization, prices, and health outcomes across 13 high-income countries shows that in 2013, the United States spent far more on healthcare than these other countries, and, despite this, Americans had poor health outcomes, including shorter life expectancy and higher rates of chronic conditions. Although we have assumed that because healthcare in the United States is very expensive, it is the best medical care, the facts do not bear that out.

Jessup admits that there was an “initial burst of nerves” about taking on a series that was held so dear by fans of the comics, but believes that they have made a good decision to shift the tone and dynamic rather than create a page-by-page recreation of the source material. “And by putting it into the hands of Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, it built a really cohesive team.” But we had the great advantage of having Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez really supporting us,” explains Stanchfield. “This is the third time in the attempted making of Locke and Key. So how did Netflix finally get it right and capture the magic. The hit comic book series always felt ripe to be brought to life, but movies have failed to get off the ground and pilots have been turned down by multiple TV networks and platforms. In one form or another, a Locke and Key adaptation has been in the works for over 12 years. The fear of the unknown, the fear of darkness, this just magnifies that.” Whether you live in an apartment, the city or an old barn out in the country, it’s a universal experience. “I thought every noise at the window was someone coming in. Because I thought the house wanted to kill me. My greatest fear when I was growing up was, I couldn’t fall asleep when I was a kid, unless I was in a very specific spot in my bed. “It just taps into something we all have. However, Locke and Key does delve into the fears that we all have about creepy old buildings in the wilderness and breathes fresh life into the genre. Early on in the series, the lead female character Kinsey Locke, removes her fear emotion using the Head Key, ensuring that she’s the opposite of the hopeless damsel in distress. It turns some of the stereotypes on their head. Locke and Key fits into that rich tradition, playing with the conventions and tropes of haunted house horror. There is a rich TV and film history of haunted houses, mansions and creaky old buildings with locked doors, dingy basements and secret attics. Poltergeist, The Changeling, The Others, The Haunting of Hill House, The Amityville Horror. Locke and Key jumps across genres - fantasy, horror, high school love stories, family drama - and is utterly addictive. The home Key House is filled with dark secrets from Rendell’s past and a series of keys with magical powers - a Head Key allows the owner to step inside their own brain, a Matchstick Key that gives you fire-starter skills at your fingertips, a Ghost key that lets you, well, become a Ghost, obviously. Locke and Key brings together the Amblin vibes of Stranger Things, the chills of Haunting of Hill House, the impossibly good looking cast of Riverdale and retro spookiness of Goosebumps into a magical 10-episode series that feels destined to become a Netflix smash.īased on the critically acclaimed Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez comic book series, the series follows the Locke family, who are returning to their ancestral home after the shocking murder of their father Rendell. |
